The first game I ever made. I joined a game jam early in my time at the Vancouver Film School and with 5 other students we made a short puzzle game where you had 10 seconds to complete the level or explode. The game jam took place over the weekend and was a little stressful but we managed to get everything working by the end of the jam which is all I could have hoped for. I primarily worked on the levels and gameplay during the jam. Since this was my first game and before I’d even learned what a game engine was I planned the levels out in Excel by coloring cells to represent blocks of the levels or obstacles. This actually made level creation very quick as we had detailed layout of the levels before hand. Play the game on Itch here: 10 Seconds to Explode
